Will.i.am has credited his rapid health improvement to his change to a plant-based diet, seeing both his cholesterol and blood pressure drop without medication.
In an appearance on British TV show Loose Women, the Black Eyed Peas frontman spoke about his previous experiences with his health:
“My immune system was weak and I was eating whatever I could eat for energy, my sleeping patterns were really off, I’d have two and half hours, wake up, go to work, have a nap. So I really had to get my life in check.”
The star then went on to credit his health improvement to his switch to a plant-based diet.
“My blood pressure and cholesterol came down without having to take medicine, my nasal drip has gone, both my nostrils are working – as I always had one nostril that didn’t work, No more nasal drip no more acid reflux.”
Will.i.am became one of a number of celebrities to adopt a plant-based diet in 2017, with both Lewis Hamilton and James Arthur also making the change.
